The Bowes Museum

The Bowes Museum wished to enhance the display and interpretation of the famous Silver Swan, as well as objects from the extensive silver and metalwork collection, in a new gallery. The new display was to relate this collection to the Silver Swan positioned in the adjacent central picture gallery.

Whilst working for the Continuum Group I was the lead designer for the new gallery, creating the design concept, including innovative and unusual ways to display the collection in new bespoke high security display cases. I also produced detail design drawings for all elements including the case layouts and managed the tender and procurement process, supervising construction and installation of all exhibition elements.
