With a BA (Hons) in Museum & Exhibition Design I have over 26 years experience as an interpretive designer, having worked both for leading heritage design consultancies and freelance.
I have been freelance for 12 years, working on projects in association with other design consultancies and direct with clients.
Throughout my career I have designed and delivered a wide range of exciting and engaging interpretation and heritage projects from concept through to on-site completion in the UK and Europe, on time and on budget.
With extensive experience of working on varied heritage projects my skills include concept and 3D exhibition design, creating innovative object displays, period displays and reconstructions, designing physical interactives, copywriting and copy editing and design management.
I have designed display solutions for a wide range of museum collections ranging from large stone artefacts through to small archaeological finds and precious silver objects. I have also designed several galleries for children under seven years of age as well as many interactive exhibits for all ages.
I believe the key to a successful interpretive design scheme is a collaborative process. I aim to establish a close working relationship with a client team, one that blends skills and creative ideas, and enables me to develop considered concepts and designs as a combined team.
